Meet Wilson UMC's Pastor
The Staff/Parish Relations Committee is excited to announce the appointment of the Reverend David Hiester as pastor of Wilson United Methodist Church, effective July 1, 2012.
Here's some info from Dave:
We are the Hiesters (pronounced Heester). Tracy and I have been married nineteen years and we have four beautiful children: Kristen, Katie, Daniel, and Andrew. Kristen is a second-year student at the University of Utah. Katie is a senior in high school. Daniel is a freshman in high school. And Andrew is in seventh grade.
I (David) came to Christ as an adult in 1994, and received my call to pastoral ministry shortly thereafter. I attended Asbury Theological Seminary where I received my Master of Divinity and I am an ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church. I have served in the local church for the last 10 years and consider my vocation the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I am head over heels in love with my wife as well as my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, and serve both joyfully.
My wife, Tracy, is a teacher at a local preschool here in Brigham City, UT. She is also a Certified Nursing Assistant and works with an agency that provides home health and hospice care.
Tracy and I have a peace about this opportunity, and look forward to meeting everyone at Wilson UMC soon.
